The book includes 3 exercises, one minute each, that can instantly help anyone to become a more effective manager by getting everyone more motivated and focused on the right priorities.
1. Exercise 1: Spend a minute to create and write down the most important 3 to 6 goals with each of your employees; review these regularly (the review shouldn't take longer than a minute either).
2. Exercise 2: When one of your employees does something great, spend a minute on giving them praise.
3. Exercise 3: When you are unhappy with or disappointed about something, spend no more than a minute to express it in a specific way (ideally right after you discovered the mistake or issue).
